Struggling to Unlearn

Learning is a powerfully stimulating process that we all are drawn and influenced to do throughout life. We are created to learn, so as a child we are voracious learners. Then family takes over the learning process and we are like sponges around them, learning both good and bad behaviors and mindsets. Maybe we learn to walk, tie our shoes, dress, brush our teeth and somewhere along with the way maybe some adult language or not eating breakfast. Whatever we learn in our forming years will only be a portion of what we carry with us through life. Then, we all reach the season where we THINK we know all that we need to know. You know what I mean, those great young adult years of "You don't tell me, I know what I need to do". This season of…

Joseph Stepping Down to a Higher Call

This post is the revelatory teaching notes that Dr. Aikens taught from in the Bootcamp entitled "Joseph Stepping Down to a Higher Call". Posted by Rev. Jane Babich after attending the Bootcamp. Sometimes we step down to a higher call as preparation for the work of God. Genesis 37:2-4 These are the generations of Jacob. Joseph, being seventeen years old, was feeding the flock with his brethren; and the lad was with the sons of Bilhah, and with the sons of Zilpah, his father's wives: and Joseph brought unto his father their evil report. Now Israel loved Joseph more than all his children because he was the son of his old age: and he made him a coat of many colors. And when his brethren saw that their father loved him more than all his brethren, they hated him, and…

World View People

People see people differently. Everyone has a natural way they view people and life; it makes us who we are and how we interact with people, circumstances and opportunities. Part of crafting our legacy is recognizing it when we meet someone with a world view. I call this a divine encounter because if we realize it or not, we meet people with a world view to give us an opportunity to expand our influence or impact of the world we live in. Do you know what I mean? They are the ones that allow us to see the world as we would not have seen it, without the encounter. The encounter can face to face, at a conference, in a book or listening to a podcast. The medium of the encounter does not matter, because no matter the way we…

Faith Cometh to Rebuke Mess! (It’s so Key!)

This post is the revelatory teaching notes that Dr. Aikens taught from in the Bootcamp entitled "Faith Cometh to Rebuke Mess!". Posted by Rev. Jane Babich after attending the Bootcamp. Faith Cometh to Rebuke Mess!” (It’s so Key!) Today we consider two bedrock key principles of salvation; “Grace and Faith”. We do so to get an understanding that Grace is given to strengthen us for the press, and Faith comes to rebuke the mess! So, getting a revelation of this concept beloveds; is absolutely Key!  Faith untried may be true faith, but it is sure to be little faith; likely to remain small; unable to rebuke subtility so we’d behave wisely in trials. Such was Adam's and his woman’s problem. Genesis 3:8 Apostle-phrased! And they heard the voice of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of…

Calm the Roaring Lion Gently

Our legacy is what others have seen, benefited from or heard that remains with them. Being someone that can bring peace in a storm is a wonderful part of anyone's legacy. My greatest experiences in bringing that calm came by making mistakes and watching others that brought me peace in my storms. If you are a calming element of grace, thank you! If you are in the learning curve of cultivating this ability, read on and take what can add to your legacy of being a calming agent of peace and grace. You walk into the room welcomed by the sound of a loved one deeply crying. For a moment you stand still surrounded by questions you want to ask and comfort you need to give. At the same time, your mind reverts back to times in the past that…

Strangers of Legacy

As a part of crafting our legacy, we need to share our stories with others. These stories can be events that happen over time, or like this one, a story of a short God-ordained few minutes in the midst of a routine day. For me, strangers are a big part of my legacy. As I have been reviewing my journals and working on writing more, it is so clear that strangers have played a larger part in my life and legacy than I had given them credit. A stranger is defined as a person whom one does not know or with whom one is not familiar. The Latin root word for stranger is extraneous which means irrelevant or unrelated to the subject, person or situation. Most strangers are exactly as defined, but then there are those that started out strangers…

Absolute and Key; Working What Would Worketh Me!

This post is the revelatory teaching notes that Dr. Aikens taught from in the Bootcamp entitled "Absolute & Key: Working What Would Worketh Me". Posted by Rev. Jane Babich after attending the Bootcamp. James 1: 3-4 tells us a key principle of our faith we’ll find is absolute, it’s that; “We’re to know this; that the trying of our faith “worketh” patience. Therefore, “let” patience have her perfecting work; that we then; may be found perfect, entire; wanting in no area! What does all this mean? Whenever we’re being “worked” by whatever’s been “permitted”; and all must be permitted to come to nigh those who are the Lord’s; when we can’t see the way out; thus, feel a spiritual time out should have been called long ago; we get anxious, we fret; we become vexed; double-minded; short-tempered; even depressed as…

Discerning Evil Present With, those Thinking to Do Good!

At a time when God’s people were continually being beguiled by “evil present with them”; He sent His prophet and captain, Isaiah; to faithfully speak truth to lighten that darkness. And again, he obediently went and with quiet confidence men hear loudly; “spoke boldly” to “evil” its future, He said; “Behold saith God, “I will yet come do marvelous, astonishing things among My people. It is My truth when heard, that shall cause subtility’s wisdoms and false understanding completely lacking discernment to vanish. And all Mine good men “shall see”! For I declare “woe” unto evil’s fruit thinking to hide from Me what their counsel wrongly teaches. They speak and cover their evil with darkness; thinking who sees or really knows us?” But I do declare woe!

She looked for, didn’t find, therefore, created.

"A Well Crafted Legacy is seeing what is missing that can change the world and then creating it!" Tara Button wrote a message on the magic of curating with thought and intention in a publication called Money, Savings, and Debt from Simplify Magazine. As a recovering impulse shopper, she made a life-changing decision after receiving a cooking pot as a gift. In her article, she says it this way. "I think I always expected that when I “grew up” I would just naturally become less impulsive with money. Like there might be a magical night class that happens in our sleep when we’re on the cusp of having to “really be an adult.” I never got access to those night classes, but something magical did happen to me when I was 30 that changed my spending habits forever." Then she…
