A Well Crafted Legacy
Greetings and welcome to A Well Crafted Legacy. AWCL is here to encourage and equip you through lessons learned, laughter, revelation and biblical principles to craft your legacy daily as it becometh you; be it personally, in business or in ministry.
Legacy is a reflection of how we live our beliefs and core values daily.
We at Havilah love definitions and God’s Word. Definitions bring clarity for bold actions because they release the faith that understanding gives us according to Proverbs 4:7 “and with all your getting, get understanding.”
I define “legacy” as what we create, craft and give that will continue to produce fruitfully after we move on to a new season, place or assignment.
John 15:16 (AMP) You have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you and I have appointed and purposefully planted you, so that you would go and bear fruit and keep on bearing, and that your fruit will remain and be lasting, so that whatever you ask of the Father in My name, He may give to you.
Legacy is what remains after we move on or transition to a different place, state, role or involvement. For some of us, this begins early in life. We join a mentoring group and choose to help others as the mentors help you; such as in scouting, sports or church. Or maybe it becomes apparent later in life, after we are entering the peak of a hard earned corporate position or seeing an empty nest season on the horizon.
A Well Crafted Legacy is full of stories, principals and lessons learned from my crafting my legacy and that of those that I met, heard about, read about and even dreamed of meeting someday. All of this is to encourage you to craft your legacy daily, as it becometh you.
I define “becometh you” as how we live life when we are being changed from one place, group, career, community or assignment by assuming or receiving different responsibilities qualities, calling or assignment; just as the bud becoming a tree, as a women becoming a mother, or a man becoming a solider.
It is a joy to share with you my journey of getting the understanding of the great privilege we all have been given by God, to go and be His Agents of change and compassion, as it becometh us.
Colossians 3:23-24 And what ever you do, do it for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. For it is the Lord Jesus Christ you are serving.
