Retirement Perspective “Beauty”

I recently accepted a retirement offer from the company I have worked for about 20 years. I am telling you, I am ready, I think! (if you want to read the why I launched this blog, read the introduction here) I am ready to do all those things I said I would do when I retire (I have a list). I am ready to not have to be "available" to anyone eight hours a day. I am ready to stay up late and not be concerned about the morning alarm clock. I am ready to travel when I want without first checking if I have PTO remaining. With all the gratitude I have with having been offered and accepted this retirement package, I am also full of questions. Why do I have questions, I have prayed for this and know…

It has begun, my first retirement! Yes, the first retirement because I am not done working, just now I am working for me. Yeah! This new journey requires I embrace a different perspective because it is all about a new point of view. Perspective has a root meaning of "look through" and in this season I will be looking through everything I do, have, need and desire to create A Well Crafted Legacy for me and those I love and influence with my life. Jane’s Journey “Hereafter”

Jane's Journey Hereafter Jane's Journey is about my transition into an adventure within my "hereafter" or my "from now on" of this big, new and unknown space and a place called retirement. I am sharing my experiences to give wisdom and help when it is your time and also hear from you if you have already found your place and space in your hereafter of retirement. Retirement - The realizing and engaging of times, ideas and realms of possibility that your heart looks for and your mind images but never tasted of, until now on. I have worked in corporate America since 1972. Yikes I know, that is a long time, and it has gone way too fast. My career has been an investment in three companies and over thirteen titles. I have been blessed by many great co-workers and…

Defining What’s Working to Ripen Within Us! by Dr. Aikens

Last week we Selah’d with Galatians 5:22-26; listing the fruit of the Spirit. Our takeaway was His fruit are singular, but as multifaceted in nature as He is tripartite; yet being but one God. And we are the same; made in His likeness. This multi-faceted fruit listing is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness or meekness and temperance called self-control. Today, we define how it shapes and gives us strength of spirit, coupled with His grace to behave wisely; enabling all to see, indeed; He is with us!

During the Teaching Dr. A. often does responsive reading to aid in understanding. Responsive Reading:  John 15:9-16 Apostle-phrased!

Living in the Fruit of the Spirit; with Grace!

Living in the Fruit of the Spirit; with Grace - by Dr. Audrey Aikens These verses are a responsive reading done during the teaching from 1 Samuel 22:1-52 Apostle-phrased to personalize! David spoke to the Lord in his Psalm 18 which he wrote in the day the Lord delivered him out of his enemies and king Saul’s hand. He sang “The Lord is my rock, my fortress, my deliverer; in Him will I trust. He’s my shield; my salvation, my high tower, my refuge and savior; my everything. You oh Lord; saved me from “violence every strongman” has thought to bring me! Thus, “I will” trust and continually call on the Lord! He is worthy to be praised! As I praise Him, He continually saves me from all my enemies! When death comes in billowing waves to threaten me; when…

The Christmas Backstory

“What is the Christmas Backstory?” by Dr. Audrey Aikens Most believers basically know we celebrate Christmas as being Jesus' birthday and are supposed to make Him the joyful reason for the season.  But for so many we aren’t knowledgeable about all that was at work to make Him truly the reason. Most of us don’t have enough revelatory truth to overcome the strongmen at work; working us. They tag-team affecting believers and non-believers alike to make the season as anti-Christ as possible. What do many struggle with? Is it not depression, anger, anxiety or the major culprits of warped expectations and pressure to perform as we try to meet the demands of Christmas? So, we consider two questions today. First, what to you is the backstory of Christmas? What do you know scripturally and or traditionally about Christmas? Then, after…

Grace Strengthens for Press; Faith Cometh to Rebuke Mess!

Today we consider two bedrock key principles of salvation; “Grace and Faith”. We do so to get an understanding that Grace is given to strengthen for the press; as Faith, cometh to rebuke the mess! So, getting the revelation of this concept beloveds; is absolutely key!  Faith untried may be true faith, but it is sure to be little faith; likely to remain small; unable to rebuke subtility so we’d behave wisely in trials. Such was Adam and woman’s problem.  Genesis 3:8 Apostle-phrased! And they heard the voice of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid from the presence of the Lord God; among the trees of the garden. “They Heard the Voice of the Lord God Walking” They Heard signifies they intelligently heard the clear unmistakable sound both were intimately familiar with. It signifies this “sound heard” called unto attention in recognizing; time and opportunity to come; obediently turning to present themselves to report in; to talk with God; as habit does; in walking with Him. Voice Walking signifies the sound of the presence of the Lord God coming; calling aloud by name as the sound of thunder heard and lightening flashing; piercing through any present darkness, or hesitation in knowing He calls us; to come unto.  The revelatory is; this was indeed the unmistakable voice of the Lord’s…

Hearing the Sound of Subtility

As a part of the "Kingdon Keys Revelatory Series" we are turning our spiritual perspective; to learn the counterfeit key the enemy proffered to beguile Eve to be used to influence Adam to eat, so choose to fall from grace. It is foundational to truly understand and appreciate this truth; so, we don’t frustrate the work of grace in our lives. "I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain." Galatians 2:21 2 Corinthians 11:14-15 Apostle-phrased! Be not surprised nor deceived! Sa`tan can appear and sound like he is sent to be an angel of light. Thus, know too; his messengers and servants are used to do likewise when they come. They can all appear and seem to sound like godly ministers. Thus, we must always be carefully discerning good and evil; especially in what appears to speak in our presence; as if for God. In the end; all making such uncertain sounds to entangle us in old yokes of bondage; shall reap judgement that wickedness deserves. Till then the key is to wisely discern to know every sound! Remember: Sa`tan cannot change what he is at heart. Even if transforming to appear to bring light; his sound is uncertain. His questioning…
