Love worth duplicating…

Becky @ Apt 2011It is my desire to inspire you to show forth LOVE worth duplicating.
After 17 years of marriage, my husband and we were surprised with the news that I was pregnant. After the shock, I began to pray and ask The Lord for four things.
1. Let our daughter be healthy
2. Let her not have my husband’s nose
3. Let her have his beautiful blue eyes
4. Let my motherly love be as rich, everlasting and unconditional as my Mom’s.
God was gracious because my daughter Rebecca, (my Mother’s namesake) was healthy and did not have my husband’s nose.  She does not have his eyes and my ability to love as my Mom…that story is still being written.
R1 is my Mom and R2 is my daughter. I love them both so much!  Two beautiful women, I admire!

On March 24, 2014, my Mom will be 89. Happy Birthday, Mom!
She is and always has showed LOVE worth duplicating.
My Mother loves and lives her life as described in  I Corinthians 13:4-8.
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.  It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.  Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.  It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.
My Mother’s love is patient, her love is kind.
My Mother does not envy, she does not boast and is not proud.
She does not dishonor others, is not self-seeking.
My Mother is not easily angered or keeps records of wrongs.
My Mother does not delight in evil but rejoices in truth.
She always protects, always trusts, always hope and always perseveres.
My Mother’s love never fails.
Who do you know that shows LOVE worth duplicating? Do you?

You have always had “Motherly Love”, ever since I was little you treated me like more than a Sister and you have been a great teacher to me! Our Mothers love is so perfect that it is hard to duplicate but if we can get close we are doing good! Great Blog Post and Happy Birthday Mom!
