Positioned as Unequally Yoked

Positioned as Unequally Yoked

2 Corinthians 6:14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? And what communion hath light with darkness?

Be Ye (defined) -signifies an extremely strong command follows which, in essence, says; “arise and be assembled to hear: then hearken, so you do not cause to be generated; come into being; or be the cause, of what will surely follow as it is ordained!”

Not (defined) in English it simply signifies a negation of a prohibition to or a clear refuting denial. But in Greek however, it is given an even stronger emphasis classified as a military term expressing an absolute denial of any exception to the rule being found existing or stated.

It also signifies an all inclusive command predicating the “Be Ye” with do not do the following lest God forbid; you experience what you already know; you would rather not or would end up withing you hadn’t.

Unequally Yoke together with (defined) signifies we are to absolutely not leave ones own rank, place or order and go into anther. It also signifies to not leave to go cleave to another of a different persuasion.

So too it is an absolute command we not be yoked up to or with that which might look as if it could serve the same purpose or we think might share our same goals; or have strengths we feel we lack so may enable us in working out our own salvation.

But that is not the thinking of strategic positioning; for leaving the Lord’s yoke to cleve to another, it signifies we have chosen intellectually or emotionally to be re-converted sipiriually.

What do you see when you look at the above picture? Could either be productively yoked together like this? Could either of them that are made, equipped and called to work, be able to do so?

Unequally yoked does not just talk about marriage, but business, friendship, neighborhoods or other memberships. We need to align ourselves with those that are equally yoked to God and to His will and way that will complement yours unto producing fruit that remains.
