Legacy Tip: Value Quality

Legacy Tip: Value Quality

One of the greatest turning points in our life is when we gain the knowledge and understanding that God has given us a purpose-designed life and the power to execute it under His watchful love and grace. This awareness also reveals how God embeds the responsibility and joy of bringing change to our lives and the lives of others for our good and His glory in every legacy.

Genesis 1:27: So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he, him

As a creation of God made in His likeness, how can we deny that we are quality? Because we are made in God’s image and likeness, we must value the quality of His work. Therefore, a legacy tip of valuing quality is necessary to craft our legacy of quality for His glory.

When we walk in this valuing of quality, our life and legacy will be fruitful. We will build this same awareness of valuing quality in people we mentor, love, and influence as we are God’s living epistle walking.

2 Corinthians 3:2-3 (amp) You are our letter [of recommendation], written in our hearts, recognized and read by everyone. You show that you are a letter from Christ, delivered by us, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but tablets of human hearts.

Because of God’s mercy and grace, we can repent and arise as the quality creation God made us, no matter our past. It is never too late in God for us to begin to value the quality of creation that we are. Glory!

A key to building a well-crafted legacy is recognizing we are made of quality, valuing that work of quality, and living a legacy worthy of it. Psalm 139:14 says, “I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are thy works, and that my soul knows right well. ”  Knowing God made you is different than valuing the fact that He fearfully and wonderfully made you.

Valuing quality means we first appreciate that we are quality creations by praising God at all times. Then properly use the gifts God has given us. Here is just a few ways we can show forth our appreciation for the quality creation that we are.

  • Value and honor the wisdom of the elders in our life (Exodus 20:12)
  • Value the opportunity we have to mentor when given (Matthew 28:20)
  • Value and be generous with our resources from God (Proverbs 3:9)
  • Value and use the gifts and talents we possess (1 Peter 4:10)
  • Value God’s ability in us to love unconditionally (1 John 4:16)

Quality comes from the English, French, and Latin combination that says; quality is the character, disposition of ‘what kind,’ and ‘such kind.’ For us, such a kind is being made in God’s image and likeness. Quality is the totality of features and characteristics that give us the ability to satisfy a given need or purpose. Therefore, quality is an inherent or distinguishing characteristic, a degree or grade of excellence. And is that not what God created us, gives us? An inherent degree of excellence. GLORY!

When we value the quality God made in us, we draw the same quality to us. When we use our quality with humility, those around us are drawn to use the quality within them. We do not feel challenged by others’ qualities when we recognize and value the quality we are made of and walk it out with grace.

Living a life of valuing our quality will enable us to build a legacy full of love, grace, peace, and fruitfulness in God. If you would like to listen to the podcast on “Value Quality,” click here.
