I grew up in a home where love was abundant, but faith was absent. We never spoke about God, so I grew up unsure of what to believe in. I have been blessed to sit under Dr. Aikens' teachings for a good portion of my life. I've learned so much about God and His character as a result. The revelatory teachings are just that, a revelation of who God really is, what He wants us to understand about His Kingdom, how to apply His Kingdom principles to our daily lives, and how to hear God for ourselves. I've truly been blessed and changed by these teachings. I have a more intimate relationship with God now than I've ever had before. And I now truly understand how to live my salvation out loud. If there is one thing I have learned from Dr. A's teaching it is to be led by the Spirit of the Lord. It’s not what I want to do but what does God want? Proverbs 3:5-6 was the first scripture she taught me and I have carried it with me up until this very moment. Learning the power of prayer…this has been a great blessing and it gave a new meaning to the words of a song, Take It to the Lord in Prayer. It is so hard to put into words all that training under Dr. Aikens has done for me. I came to know Jesus as a young age but learned of His freedom when I was connected with Dr. Aikens. Her strong, clear understanding of the Bible and God’s Spirit gave me hope that God loved me and He would answer my prayers. Raven and the abundance of definitions for the scripture have enabled me to understand God’s concepts and principals in a life changing way.
